What is Sleep Apnea?

Sleep apnea is a common but serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts throughout the night. These interruptions occur when the airway becomes partially or completely blocked, reducing oxygen levels and disrupting restful sleep. Common symptoms normally include things like loud snoring, gasping for air during the night, morning headaches, daytime fatigue, and difficulty concentrating. Left untreated, it can increase the risk of issues like high blood pressure, heart disease, and other health concerns.
How We Treat Sleep Apnea

At our office, we’re able to provide a take-home sleep study test that you’ll be able to complete all on your own; however, if you’d prefer an in-office sleep test, we can arrange that, too. Once you have been properly diagnosed with sleep apnea, we can move on to the treatment phase. We can provide you with a custom-made oral appliance that’ll encourage proper airflow throughout the night by gently repositioning your jaw. Comfortable to wear and easy to maintain, these devices can greatly mitigate the impact of sleep apnea symptoms.
